IAF DRAKE

Suri Herdsire (Male) Light Rose Grey

AOA# 32845242 DOB: 6/29/20139 yrs
Drake is now proven! Super excited about the delicious female cria he has produced with our Rastamon daughter! Drake is an iMpressive male who is just getting started into our breeding program. When we first showed Drake he was called a fiber monster because he had so much fiber! I was taken aback by this comment at first but when we sheared him in 2018, I couldn't believe his blanket was 6.5 pounds! Drake's confirmation is over the top as he is very big boned, and straight on his topli ...

Black Rastamon Female

GLR QUICHEA

Suri Open (Female) True Black

AOA# 35256151 DOB: 10/17/20148 yrs
Quichea is drop dead gorgeous and not surprising from her powerful genetics! Rastomon is her sire and her mom, Prestiga was a champion producer. She has produced amazing offspring for us and the fleece she produces along with her crias is just incredible. We couldn't be more pleased with the luster and lock structure of it all. She is still part of our foundation female group and if you are interested in her let us know. We could not be more pleased with what she gave us this past year ...

IAF Quakina is a stunning, iMpressive medium brown female. She is a product of our Rastamon daughter, GLR Quichea and IAF Drake. We sold Drake (he is going overseas), so there will never be another like her!

Drake is out of a color champion Catarina (who is still in our foundation herd) and Koloqua. Drake's fiber is just gorgeous spun up and has won first place at the Suri Network All Fleece Show. A shawl made up of his yarn won Judge's Choice in the fiber arts competition at the 2020 Suri Network Symposium. Quichea is still maintaining true black color even as she approaches 6 years old.

We are offering Quake up for sale so that a farm can capitalize on these fantastic genetics. She is too closely related to our employed herdsires (from her dam side), otherwise we would certainly keep her as a foundation female.

Quake has a real sweet demeanor. Quake did fantastic in the brown category at all the fleece shows she was entered in. We have been looking at her 2020 fleece production and it looks like she is more uniform in color. We think she scored a bit lower than desired in the 2020 shows due to the skirting for uniformity which compromised her weight score. (We still need to review this but a first pass of the score cards shows this is accurate.). Her fleece is Simply Stunning and we hope by offering her up for sale someone will capitalize on her genetics and incredible fleece qualities! She has exceptional luster and conformation!

If you are starting a new alpaca farm, talk to us as we have a couple of others we can add to a starting herd package including Quakina to set you up. (Much mentoring included!)
